Don Wakamatsu has seniority in today’s managerial matchup. Mike Scioscia is missing his second straight game to attend his daughter’s high school graduation in SoCal, so bench coach Ron Roenicke is calling the shots.

Wakamatsu said that Luke French, who was called up today from Tacoma, will work out of the bullpen. Since he was schedued to start today for the Rainiers, he is available for this series finale with the Angels and obviously could give the M’s some length, if needed. They are bullpen-challenged after yesterday’s debacle, with Sean White not available, and Garrett Olson and Chad Cordero coming off back-to-back appearances.
