Matsui’s walk-off hit ends Angels’ losing streak
ANAHEIM, Calif. (Kyodo) Hideki Matsui singled in the winning run in the ninth inning to give the Los Angeles Angels a 4-3 victory over the Oakland Athletics on Saturday. With runners on first and second and one out, Matsui lined a 2-0 fastball from left-handed reliever Craig Breslow down the right-field line, snapping his new team’s four-game losing streak.
